Bob Saroya was first elected to the House of Commons on October 19th, 2015 to represent the riding of Markham-Unionville. He was re-elected in 2019. He served on the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and the Standing Committee on Citizenship and Immigration.

Mr. Saroya was born in India and immigrated to Canada over 40 years ago. After arriving in Canada with just $7 in his pocket, he became a successful entrepreneur and served as a corporate director for a multi-billion dollar Canadian company.

His passion for public service led him to volunteer for several local charities in York Region. In his spare time, he meets with and mentors new immigrants.

Mr. Saroya is married to the love of his life, Roopa and together they have three children: Rohin, Tarun and Shalin.

Mr. Saroya prides himself on being a constituent-focused representative and personally returns many calls and e-mails on a regular basis.
